    As part of its expansion plan, Virgin Atlantic has started selling tickets for its new service between London – Heathrow and Bangalore for the 2024 summer season. The British airline will be the fifth European carrier to offer non-stop flights to Kempegowda International Airport.

    Virgin Atlantic’s Bold Move into South America: 2024 Expansion Plan Revealed

    With the launch of this new route, the airline will offer around 500,000 seats each year between the UK and India, while through its codeshare partnership with IndiGo customers can access 34 destinations in India.

    Also, the new service provides connectivity to North America to popular destinations such as Seattle, San Francisco and New York via London Heathrow with flights operated by Virgin Atlantic and its transatlantic partner Delta Air Lines.

    Virgin Atlantic’s flight schedule to Bangalore

    Starts March 31, 2024.

    • London/Heathrow – Bangalore Flight VS 316 LHR 11:45 – BLR 02:15+1 daily flights.
    • Bangalore – London/Heathrow Flight VS 317 BLR 04:05 – LHR 10:15 daily flights.

    The route will be operated on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft with a seating capacity of 258 seats in three classes (31 Upper Class/35 Premium Economy/192 Economy) and promotional fares start from GBP 1.859 round trip.

    According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), 231,123 passengers were mobilized in 2019 between London and Bangalore. Soon, Virgin Atlantic will compete in this segment with British Airways which currently offers a daily service operated on Airbus A350-1000s.

    Bangalore will become the airline’s third destination and fourth daily service to India, complementing with its operations to Delhi and Mumbai. Since 2019, Virgin Atlantic has increased capacity to India by 250%, the carrier’s largest area of growth outside the United States.
