Washington Dulles consolidates as United’s second transatlantic hub, after Newark. For the summer of 2025, the airline is launching operations in Senegal and introducing new routes in France and Italy.

New connection to the French Riviera

On May 22, United launched the Washington–Nice route with four weekly flights, adding to its daily service from Newark. With this addition, the airline increases its capacity between the United States and Nice Côte d'Azur Airport by 30%.
“This reflects the growing appeal of our region to Americans, who travel to the Côte d’Azur in greater numbers each year, and responds to our commitment to better connect our territory with major cities around the world,” said Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Board at Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur.

United is strengthening its presence in Italy this summer. On May 22, it began a daily direct flight from Washington to Venice, currently the only nonstop connection between the two cities. A few weeks earlier, the airline also launched a new Denver–Rome service.
The seasonal Newark–Venice service was moved up three weeks ahead of schedule and will now run through December 18, extending seven weeks beyond the end of the peak season.
