Tocumen International Airport strengthens global network with return of Condor and Aeroméxico
Tocumen Airport celebrates the return of Condor from Frankfurt and Aeroméxico from Mexico City, alongside upcoming expansions by Copa Airlines and Air Europa.
Tocumen International Airport (PTY), Panama’s main air hub, is reinforcing its global connectivity with the simultaneous resumption of flights by Condor and Aeroméxico. These services restore and enhance key routes to Europe and North America, further consolidating the airport's role in regional air traffic.
German airline Condor has resumed its direct connection between Frankfurt (FRA) and Panama City, operated with Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. The restart responds to growing travel demand between Germany and Panama, providing European travelers with a direct gateway to Latin America.
At the same time, Aeroméxico has reactivated its daily service from Mexico City International Airport (MEX). Operated with Boeing 737 aircraft, the route is essential for both business and leisure travelers between two of the region's most important financial hubs.
These operations are part of a broader expansion at Tocumen. On June 25, Copa Airlines, Panama’s flag carrier, is set to launch a new route to San Diego (SAN), marking its 17th U.S. destination. Additionally, Air Europa will boost its Madrid (MAD)–Panama service to daily flights, meeting growing demand on this popular transatlantic route.
