TAR México to Launch Direct Flights Between Aguascalientes and La Paz
The regional airline expands its route network from the Bajío to the Sea of Cortez, strengthening domestic connectivity with Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft.
Mexican airline TAR México has announced a new route connecting Aguascalientes International Airport (AGU) with La Paz International Airport (LAP). The service will operate four times per week and provides a key direct link between the industrial Bajío region and one of the most prominent tourist destinations in Baja California Sur.
Flights will be operated with Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft, which make up TAR's entire fleet and are configured to seat 50 passengers. According to local sources, service will begin on July 7, 2025, with flights scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, catering to both business and leisure travelers throughout the week and weekend.
This new route expands TAR’s network from Aguascalientes, which already includes services to Monterrey and Puerto Vallarta. For the Aguascalientes airport, the addition complements an existing range of destinations such as Mexico City, Tijuana, and Cancún, as well as international connections to the United States.
