SKY to resume Lima–Jauja flights from July 4, 2025
The low-cost carrier will resume its connection with Peru’s Junín region with a daily flight, authorized following runway repairs at Jauja Airport.
SKY will restart operations between Lima and Jauja on July 4, 2025, following the completion of runway repairs at Francisco Carlé Airport in Peru’s Junín region.
The decision came after the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) confirmed the airport’s readiness to resume operations under optimal conditions.
The service will include one daily flight, departing Lima at 6:20 a.m. and returning from Jauja at 8:00 a.m. Tickets are now available through the airline’s website and app.
“With the commitment of airport authorities and the concessionaire to maintaining optimal runway conditions, we’ve decided to resume our route to Jauja,” said José Raúl Vargas, SKY’s General Manager in Peru. “This move aims to strengthen connectivity in the central region of the country and boost economic and tourism development in Junín.”
Before the closure, Jauja Airport received one daily flight from SKY and one from LATAM, both departing from Lima, representing a combined capacity of approximately 4,500 seats per week.
