SKY Airline resumes three seasonal international routes for winter 2025
Chilean airline SKY resumes seasonal flights to three South American cities, boosting connectivity for the 2025 winter season.
SKY Airline has reactivated three seasonal international routes connecting Santiago de Chile with Bariloche, Porto Alegre, and Belo Horizonte, as part of a strategy to boost regional connectivity during the vacation season.
According to the airline, the Santiago–Bariloche route began operating on June 17 and will run through September 28, with four weekly flights and an expected passenger volume of over 16,000 travelers.
Meanwhile, the Santiago–Porto Alegre route will launch on June 23 and remain active until September 14. It will start with three weekly flights, increasing to four during July and August. SKY expects to carry more than 12,000 passengers on this route, positioning itself as the only low-cost carrier offering direct service between the two cities.

For the second consecutive year, the airline will also operate the Santiago–Belo Horizonte route from June 24 to September 13, with three weekly frequencies and a projected volume also exceeding 12,000 passengers.
“At SKY, we’re committed to enhancing Santiago’s connectivity with the rest of South America,” said Benjamín Cox, the airline’s deputy sales manager. “Our goal is to give Chileans the chance to enjoy the snow in Bariloche, the charm of Porto Alegre, or the cultural richness of Belo Horizonte.” He added that the airline also aims to “encourage more travelers from other countries to discover Chile and enjoy its snowy landscapes and diverse tourist attractions.”
