Rosario International Airport Gears Up for High-Demand Winter Season with Expanded Routes and Over 100 Student Flights
Rosario Airport Targets Record Winter Season with Expanded Domestic and International Flights. High tourist demand and over 6,000 students traveling to Bariloche set the stage for a busy winter schedule.
Rosario’s “Islas Malvinas” International Airport (AIR) is preparing for a busy winter travel season, offering direct flights to 13 domestic and international destinations and hosting more than 100 student charter flights carrying over 6,000 youths to Bariloche.
According to airport authorities, the current flight schedule includes international routes to Punta Cana, Rio de Janeiro, Cabo Frío, Panama, and Lima, along with domestic services to Bariloche, Chapelco, Mendoza, Salta, Neuquén, Iguazú, Aeroparque, and Ezeiza.
Santa Fe’s Minister of Productive Development, Gustavo Puccini, emphasized the airport’s strategic role, stating: “During the winter season, Rosario International Airport becomes a key driver of Santa Fe’s economic, tourism, and social development. This is thanks to Governor Maximiliano Pullaro’s public policy, which expands routes, boosts connectivity with a federal perspective, supports SMEs, promotes local roots, and creates real opportunities for thousands of residents who can travel, work, and export directly from their province—without relying on Buenos Aires.”
Aerolíneas Argentinas will offer weekly direct flights to Punta Cana on Fridays with returns on Saturdays between July 4 and 18, as well as flights to Rio de Janeiro on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays until July 19. Charter flights to Cabo Frío will operate on Saturdays from June 28 to August 9, available exclusively through travel agencies.
Domestic connectivity will be strengthened with three weekly flights to Bariloche starting July 2 and service to Chapelco on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays until August 17. Additional routes include Mendoza, Salta, Neuquén, Iguazú, daily service to Aeroparque, and three weekly flights to Ezeiza.
On the international front, Copa Airlines will continue its daily service to Panama and add a second frequency on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, enhancing access to more than 80 destinations in 33 countries. Gol Linhas Aéreas will maintain its thrice-weekly flights to Rio de Janeiro, and LATAM Airlines will operate flights to Lima on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with onward connections to over 25 destinations via its Peruvian hub.
The airport will also play a central role in the student travel season. Aerolíneas Argentinas and Andes Líneas Aéreas will transport over 6,000 students to Bariloche, with more than 100 dedicated flights scheduled between July and August.
