Porter Airlines launches Toronto-Pearson to New York-LaGuardia route
With this expansion, Porter Airlines continues to enhance its growing presence in the U.S. market. The Embraer E195-E2 aircraft not only offers a comfortable, eco-efficient flying experience but also reinforces the airline's focus on passenger satisfaction.
Porter Airlines is expanding its travel offerings to the New York metropolitan area with a new year-round route between Toronto-Pearson Airport and LaGuardia Airport. This service, complementing the airline’s existing flights from Toronto-Billy Bishop to Newark, will utilize Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. These planes are equipped with 132 seats in a single-class layout, featuring no middle seats and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi.
The new route benefits from LaGuardia Airport's upgraded Terminal B, a modernized facility made possible by a $5.1 billion investment. Porter passengers traveling through Toronto-Pearson can connect to major Canadian cities such as Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, and Vancouver. Furthermore, a partnership with JetBlue enables connections to multiple U.S. destinations.
Customers have the flexibility to choose between PorterReserve and PorterClassic fares, catering to different travel preferences. Porter Airlines has been serving the New York metropolitan area since 2008, and in 2023, the airline introduced a direct connection between Ottawa and Newark. With the addition of this new route, Porter Airlines will now offer up to 15 daily flights across all its routes to New York.
