This new route will provide passengers from Scotland with convenient connections to the low-cost carrier’s North American network. PLAY currently offers non-stop flights to Baltimore (BWI), New York/Stewart (SWF), Boston (BOS) and soon Washington – Dulles (IAD) and Toronto – Hamilton (YHM).

«Air links between Scotland and this Nordic island nation go back decades, thanks to its enduring popularity with travelers eager to enjoy the country’s stunning scenery and magnificent culture. In addition to being a must-visit destination in its own right, Iceland also offers fantastic and convenient connectivity to a number of popular destinations in North America,» said Christopher Tibbett, director of airline relations and marketing at Glasgow Airport.

PLAY for this summer season will be the third airline operator in this segment where it will compete with Icelandair and Jet2.com.
