New Airport Services Operator Authorized in Argentina
Through Provision 12/2025, published on Tuesday, May 27 in the Official Gazette, the Subsecretariat of Air Transport under the Ministry of Economy has authorized Handyway Cargo S.A. to provide general airport ground handling and ramp services. The company brings over 20 years of experience in the air transport sector across Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay, having handled cargo for airlines such as LATAM, JetSMART, Flybondi, and Avianca Cargo.
According to the regulation, the company formally applied for this license under Article 29 bis of the Aeronautical Code (Law 17,285) and met the technical, operational, and financial requirements established by current legislation, including the Market Access Regulation for Air Commerce approved by Decree 599/2024.
This authorization aligns with guidelines established under Resolution 49/2024 from the Secretariat of Transport, which laid out a specific procedure for issuing such permits. The license is valid for 15 years and is automatically renewable as long as operational safety standards are maintained.
The approval follows a favorable assessment by the National Directorate of Air Transport at ANAC, which confirmed Handyway Cargo’s technical and financial capacity in accordance with Article 105 of the Aeronautical Code.
The license enables the company to provide ramp and ground handling services, including aircraft assistance, baggage handling, crew support, and other ground operations, in a competitive environment.
Finally, the provision signed by Deputy Secretary Hernán Adrián Gómez instructs that the company be notified and that the decision be communicated to the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC), which is tasked with supervising operational safety and overseeing activities as the national aviation authority.
