LATAM incorporates a new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner

LATAM Group announced the delivery of its new wide-body Boeing 787-9 aircraft in Santiago, Chile, on Saturday, September 2nd. The aircraft, registration CC-BGQ, flew directly from the Boeing factory in Charleston, USA, in a journey of just over 8 hours.

As reported by AEROIN, the new aircraft represents a further step in the company’s renewal strategy to have one of the most modern and efficient fleets in South America, with 332 aircraft by the end of 2023, of which 78 are wide-body (twin-aisle aircraft) and 254 are narrow-body (single-aisle aircraft).

The aircraft will enable the group to reach a total of 37 Dreamliners by the end of 2023. There are already 32, of which 22 are 787-9s and the rest 787-8s.
