    JetSMART has launched a new hiring campaign for Airbus A320 captains in Argentina, seeking experienced pilots to support its growing operations in the country. The ultra-low-cost carrier has been expanding rapidly, adding new aircraft and destinations in recent months.

    Job Requirements for A320 Captains

    JetSMART has outlined the minimum qualifications for applicants, which include:

    • 3,500 total flight hours
    • 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on commercial aircraft over 50 tons MTOW
    • Argentine nationality
    • Valid TLA license with Class 1 medical certificate
    • ICAO English Level 4 or higher
    • At least 200 flight hours in the past 12 months
    • Valid passport

    JetSMART’s Expanding Fleet and Operations

    JetSMART currently operates 12 aircraft in Argentina:

    • Eight Airbus A320s registered in Argentina
    • Four Airbus A320s registered in Chile, including the first A320neo in Argentina’s domestic market

    Planned Route Expansions This Month

    JetSMART is significantly increasing capacity across multiple destinations in Argentina:

    • Chubut: +500% growth with five weekly flights between Buenos Aires and Comodoro Rivadavia
    • Misiones: +289% growth with 35 weekly flights to Iguazú, adding 19 more flights
    • Córdoba: +175% growth, now offering 33 weekly flights
    • Mendoza: +140% growth, with 48 weekly flights to Buenos Aires, Salta, Bariloche, and Santiago de Chile
    • Neuquén: +136% growth, adding new flights to Salta and Buenos Aires, plus operations from San Martín de los Andes
    • Bariloche: +111% growth, now at 40 weekly flights, including direct connections with Mendoza
    • Salta: +77% growth, adding 10 more flights, for a total of 23 weekly flights
    • Santa Cruz: +50% growth, now operating six weekly flights to El Calafate
    • Tucumán: +40% growth, with seven weekly flights between Buenos Aires and Tucumán

    Additionally, JetSMART recently announced new routes to Resistencia and Trelew, further strengthening its domestic network.
