JetBlue will have regular flights to Honduras for the first time
As part of a new stage of expansion of its Northeast alliance with American Airlines, which includes the launch of twenty new routes and flights to eight new destinations, JetBlue announced today that it will disembark in Honduras for the first time.
The US airline will fly between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and San Pedro Sula’s Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport starting in December 2021.
Details of frequencies, schedules and rates are not yet known, but JetBlue indicated that they will report it in the coming months once the commercialization is launched.
The announcement of JetBlue’s arrival in Honduras comes just a week after the airline’s landing in Guatemala. With San Pedro Sula, the company’s network in Latin America and the Caribbean will reach 34 destinations, although more news can not be ruled out between now and the end of the year.
Considering the area of Central America and the Caribbean, the airline is the second with the largest offer to and from the United States, with 424,065 seats on scheduled flights on 77 routes during April, according to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, a global company of aeronautical intelligence.
