LATAM Airlines recently received a new Airbus A320neo, registration CC-BHI, which is still at the company’s maintenance center in São Carlos, Brazil. This model, part of LATAM’s fleet renewal plan, is known for its fuel efficiency and reduced environmental impact.

For its part, SKY Airline added two Airbus A320neo aircraft to its fleet. The first, registration CC-DBN, and the second, registration CC-DBP, were both manufactured at Airbus facilities in Toulouse, France. Additionally, a third aircraft, registration CC-DBO, is awaiting delivery from the same factory and will soon join the airline’s fleet.

JetSMART ends the year with another A320neo

Lastly, JetSMART received a new Airbus A320neo, registration CC-DIQ, which landed in Chile on Saturday, the 21st, after completing its delivery flight from Hamburg, Germany. This aircraft, equipped with Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, will be used to bolster the company’s domestic and international operations as it continues expanding its ultra low-cost model across the region.

An optimistic year-end for Chilean aviation

In a challenging year for the industry, LATAM, SKY, and JetSMART strive to maintain modern, efficient fleets adapted to market demands. These additions not only increase operational capacity but also position the Chilean aviation industry as a benchmark for modernization and sustainability in Latin America.

Furthermore, DAP and Aerocardal also expanded their fleets earlier this year with the addition of a Q400 and a LET 410NG, respectively.
