IPERÚ Opens New Tourist Assistance Points at Lima’s Jorge Chávez International Airport
As part of the launch of the new terminal at Jorge Chávez International Airport, IPERÚ, the Peruvian tourist information and assistance service, has opened two new service counters aimed at enhancing the experience for both domestic and international travelers.
The modules are managed by PROMPERÚ, the Peruvian Commission for the Promotion of Export and Tourism, and are located in the baggage claim area and the check-in hall of the new terminal. According to the agency, these new stations are designed to provide immediate guidance to arriving and departing passengers, especially in matters related to tourist routes, formal service providers, and channels for filing complaints or claims.
IPERÚ will continue to offer 24/7 assistance through its digital and telephone channels, including WhatsApp, email, and a national call center:
- WhatsApp (messages only): +51 944 492 314
- Call center: (01) 574 8000
- Email: iperu@promperu.gob.pe

As part of the initial “soft launch” phase, IPERÚ welcomed passengers from Buenos Aires with promotional materials and a symbolic greeting. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to ensure a safe and high-quality tourism experience, according to PROMPERÚ.
IPERÚ's presence at Jorge Chávez is well-established. In 2024 alone, the service recorded 66,377 traveler interactions, a figure that PROMPERÚ says reflects strong trust in the service and its role within Peru’s Tourist Protection Network, in collaboration with local authorities.
