Gol began selling tickets between Bogota and Buenos Aires

The Brazilian airline Gol has commenced ticket sales for its new international route between Buenos Aires (EZE) and Bogotá (BOG). This fresh connection is set to commence operations from April 1st with four weekly flights, and from July 24th, it will offer a daily flight.
Gol returns to Colombia after a twelve-year absence. Between 2009 and 2011, the company linked the capital of the coffee country with Manaus and São Paulo. These flights took place during the transition period following the acquisition of Varig. During that time, Gol also had a small regional base in Buenos Aires, from where it flew to Lima, Asunción, and Santiago.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Colombia (Aerocivil) has authorized the Brazilian airline to operate flights to Bogotá (BOG), Colombia, from Buenos Aires/Ezeiza (EZE), Argentina, and São Paulo/Guarulhos (GRU), Brazil, with up to seven weekly frequencies using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
The opening of this new route underscores the significant demand in the aviation market. Currently, the direct connection between Bogotá and Buenos Aires is serviced by two companies: Avianca with two daily flights to Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE), operated with Boeing 787-8 and Airbus A320 aircraft, and Aerolíneas Argentinas with a daily flight to Jorge Newbery International Airport (AEP), utilizing Boeing 737-700 planes.
The itinerary will commence from El Dorado Airport, departing at 5:50 and arriving in Buenos Aires at 14:20. The return flight will take off from the Argentine city at 16:50 and land in the capital of Colombia at 21:25; all times are local. The flight will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays starting from April 1st, and from July 24th, it will operate daily.
