Flybondi expands Brazil-Argentina flight schedule for summer 2025/2026
In a virtual press conference held Tuesday morning, Flybondi revealed more details about its flight schedule between Argentina and Brazil for the 2025/2026 summer season.
This follows the airline's announcement last Friday of four new routes—two from Córdoba (the ultra low-cost carrier’s first international routes from that city) and two from Buenos Aires.
With these additions, Flybondi will operate seven routes between Argentina and Brazil during the season. The airline expects to transport over 257,000 passengers across approximately 1,640 flights, representing a 14% increase compared to the previous summer.
Flybondi flights to Brazil – Summer 2025 schedule
- Buenos Aires – São Paulo/Guarulhos: 7 weekly flights starting in December.
- Buenos Aires – Rio de Janeiro/Galeão: 17 weekly flights in December, increasing to 21 in January and February.
- Buenos Aires – Florianópolis: 11 weekly flights in December, rising to 14 in January and February.
- Buenos Aires – Maceió: 2 weekly flights in January and February.
- Buenos Aires – Salvador: 2 weekly flights in January and February.
- Córdoba – Florianópolis: 2 weekly flights in December, 3 in January and February, and 2 in March.
- Córdoba – Rio de Janeiro/Galeão: 3 weekly flights in December, 4 in January and February, and 3 in March.
Manuel Alvarez, Chief Revenue Officer at Flybondi, stated that the newly announced routes have been very well received, with over 300 tickets already sold. He described this as “tremendous,” given that Brazil-Argentina routes typically sell 50% of their seats in the last 45 days before departure. This early demand, more than six months in advance, signals strong interest.
Alvarez also noted that 77% of current passengers are from Argentina, while 23% are from Brazil, and the airline is working on initiatives to balance sales more evenly between the two markets.
Wet leasing returns for peak season
Responding to a media query about the return of ACMI leasing (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, Insurance), Lucía Ginzo, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Flybondi, confirmed the airline plans to use this model again during the high-demand season.
Flybondi previously operated six wet-leased aircraft: two Boeing 737-800s from Spanish carrier AlbaStar (EC-MUB and EC-NLK), and four Airbus A320s from Avion Express Malta (LY-MLG, LY-MLJ, LY-NVL, and LY-VEL).

The company has not yet disclosed the ACMI provider or the number of aircraft it will lease for the upcoming season.
“We believe the model was highly successful in easing the pressure of growth during peak demand,” Ginzo emphasized.
According to aviation data platform Cirium, Flybondi currently operates 15 Boeing 737-800s, each configured for 189 passengers, with three aircraft currently in storage.
