At the end of November 2023, Aerolíneas Argentinas had announced a significant increase in its regional flights, mainly aimed at strengthening its hub at Jorge Newbery Airpark (AEP) and providing more connectivity options for its domestic routes.

Following this announcement, at the end of December 2023, new frequencies to Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay were added to the reservation systems. Simultaneously, the airline added new flights in the domestic market.

Now, flights to Lima and Bogotá will remain daily instead of the initially planned ten weekly flights, which would have included two daily flights on specific days of the week.

The airline also confirmed the cancellation of the route between Asunción and Córdoba, which was scheduled to begin in April 2024. The goal was to replace the departure of Air Europa and serve as a new entry point to Argentina for Paraguay. Now, Paranair will be the only company on the route, planning to start operations on March 4, 2024, with three weekly flights.

Aerolíneas Argentinas confirmed the changes to Aviacionline, and although there are no official reasons, it is inferred that the new political and economic landscape has changed the outlook for this year.
