Over the next two years, all of the company’s Airbus A330-300 and A350-900 aircraft will be fitted with the new cabins, in addition to a revamped economy class. These new products will be available by spring on selected Finnair routes and will be on sale from March 1, 2022.

«Our investment to enhance the long-haul customer experience demonstrates the continued commitment of the entire Finnair team to deliver a premium experience in every cabin of our aircraft,» said Topi Manner, CEO of Finnair.

    New interiors:

Finnair is the launch customer for a new Business Class seat concept. This one was developed in partnership with Collins Aerospace. It offers more space and better freedom of movement.

«Both the seat and the entire Business Class experience focus on comfort, space, and customer choice. It is the culmination of our design ethos that will appear throughout our long-haul aircraft to redefine modern premium travel,» said Ole Orvér, Finnair’s Chief Commercial Officer.

For the first time, the Finnish carrier will offer a Premium Economy cabin that will be installed on all widebody aircraft. Its configuration on A350 aircraft will be 2-4-2 and on A330s 2-3-2. The company aims to offer its customers a new comfortable and stylish cabin option for their long-haul flights.

Finnair is the launch customer for the «Vector Premium» seat, manufactured by HAECO and in collaboration with design agency Tangerine.

«Premium leisure is a trend that has accelerated significantly during the pandemic. We are confident that our new Premium Economy travel class with its comfortable seats and more space will prove very popular with customers who want a superior Economy experience,» added Orvér.

Finnair has also invested in a revamp of its long-haul economy class. For this, it offers new seats and larger in-flight entertainment (IFE) screens. Those provide an updated user interface, which will initially be installed on A330 and three A350 aircraft.
