The Argentine Aircraft Factory "Brigadier San Martín" S.A. (FAdeA) has completed its first technical intervention on a Boeing 737 aircraft, belonging to low-cost carrier Flybondi. This procedure marks the beginning of the state-owned company's operations on this family of commercial aircraft, following certification by the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC).

The work was prompted by an issue reported in the fuel system of Flybondi’s Boeing 737-800, registration LV-KJF. Through a post on the social network LinkedIn, FAdeA stated that the intervention was completed "within the stipulated operational timelines and in accordance with high technical standards," demonstrating the capabilities of its facilities and the readiness of its technical teams in Córdoba.

This operation represents an expansion of the scope of FAdeA’s Commercial MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) Business Unit. The company is actively seeking to grow its footprint in the commercial aircraft maintenance sector, opening new business opportunities with airline operators both in Argentina and across South America, where the Boeing 737 is widely used.

Flybondi celebrated the collaboration and expressed satisfaction at being the inaugural customer for this service at FAdeA. Commenting on FAdeA’s LinkedIn post, the airline said: "Congratulations! It's an honor to be the first for this type of technical intervention." Flybondi also described the milestone as "a big step for the Argentine aviation industry" and encouraged continued efforts toward "boosting the sector's growth."

The addition of Boeing 737 capabilities complements FAdeA’s traditional experience with military aircraft and other aviation services. The state-owned company emphasized that the development of this strategic business unit aims to strengthen its market position, drive the growth of Argentina’s aviation industry, and offer competitive alternatives within the regional MRO ecosystem.
