    Egyptair and Airbus announced today at the Dubai Airshow 2023 the signing of an agreement for ten A350-900s, which will allow them to renew their fleet of Boeing 777s, of which the -300ER series (operating 6) already average 13.1 years, while the four 777-200ERs they have in storage average 24.2 years.

Our focus lies in the enhancement of our fleet to embrace some of the most contemporary aircraft available,” said EGYPTAIR Chairman and CEO Yehia Zakaria.

    Christian Scherer, Chief Commercial officer and Head of Airbus International, said that «Once delivered the A350-900 will be EGYPTAIR’s flagship aircraft. Adding the world’s most modern and efficient widebody aircraft to the airline’s fleet will be instrumental in expanding its offering, opening new opportunities particularly in Western US and the far East».

    Egyptair fleet is currently made up of 28 Boeing 737-800, 12 Airbus A220-300, 10 A320, 7 A321neo, 7 A330-200, 4 A330-300, 6 Boeing 777-300ER, and 7 Boeing 787-9.

    Yesterday the company signed an agreement with ALC for 18 Boeing 737 MAX 8.
