Eastern Airlines Technic Signs Exclusive 12-Year Maintenance Agreement with Lufthansa Technik

Eastern Airlines Technic (EASTEC), a subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines, has entered into an exclusive 12-year maintenance service agreement with Lufthansa Technik. The deal includes technical support for the auxiliary power units (APUs) of China Eastern Airlines' entire Airbus A350 fleet.
Under this long-term agreement, Lufthansa Technik will provide comprehensive MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) services for the Honeywell HGT1700 APUs used in the Airbus A350. These services will be carried out at Lufthansa Technik’s specialized APU maintenance facility in Hamburg, Germany.
As an officially accredited Honeywell repair partner for the HGT1700—exclusively used in the Airbus A350—Lufthansa Technik is authorized to offer a wide range of MRO services for this type of APU.

This agreement builds upon more than two decades of collaboration between Lufthansa Technik and China Eastern Group. Over the years, both companies have established multiple maintenance service agreements, including component supply for China Eastern’s fleet of Boeing 777 passenger and cargo aircraft.
