Wingo, the low-cost airline based in Colombia, is once again capturing market attention with its “Destino Oculto 2025” program. The company sold out all seats for two international flights in just 32 minutes during a promotional event that began at midnight on June 10.

The product, now gaining traction with this new edition, offers travelers a full-package experience with one major twist: mystery. Passengers purchase the complete trip without knowing the final destination, which will only be revealed shortly before departure. This year’s journey is scheduled for October 2–5, 2025, departing from Bogotá (BOG) and Medellín (MDE).

The travel package, priced at $1,095 USD per person, goes far beyond airfare. It includes three nights at a five-star hotel from the World of Hyatt chain, all meals, ground transportation, and a curated schedule of exclusive activities. Among the highlights is a “Corona Sunset Session,” reflecting the involvement of partner brands like Corona, OBoticario, and Durex—each aiming to align their products with themes of adventure and escapism.

Details of the “Destino Oculto 2025” Experience:

    • Travel Dates: October 2–5, 2025
    • Cost: USD $1,095 per person
    • Includes: Round-trip flights, five-star hotel, transfers, meals, and activities
    • Requirements: Must be of legal age, possess a passport valid for at least six months, and hold a yellow fever vaccination certificate
    • The Mystery: The destination is international and currently has no direct commercial flights from Colombia

From the airline’s perspective, the rapid sellout reflects a shift in consumer behavior. Jorge Jiménez, Wingo’s Vice President of Commercial and Planning, noted that the results “demonstrate an evolution in the preferences of Colombian travelers, who are now leaning toward comprehensive and differentiated experiences.”

Wingo operates a fleet of Boeing 737-800 aircraft, each with a capacity of approximately 186 passengers. This narrows down potential destinations for the “Hidden Destination” to locations within a 5–6 hour flight radius from Colombia.

The requirement that there be no direct commercial flights rules out traditional Caribbean and North American destinations, opening speculation toward lesser-known islands or secondary cities in Central and South America that can accommodate a group of this size.
