Starting May 3, 2025, Delta Air Lines will introduce its Delta One Suites and Premium Select cabins on nonstop flights between its Atlanta (ATL) hub and Santiago de Chile (SCL). These services will be operated with Airbus A350-900 aircraft configured for high premium density.

This upgrade enhances the product offering on the route, which now features four service classes. The A350-900 assigned to the route has a total capacity of 275 passengers, including 40 fully flat-bed seats with individual doors in Delta One Suites, 40 seats in the Premium Select cabin, 36 Delta Comfort+ seats with extra legroom, and 159 Main Cabin (economy) seats.

Luciano Macagno, Delta’s Managing Director for Latin America, the Caribbean, and South Florida, stated that the company “is proud to offer a premium, high-quality product for those traveling between Atlanta and Santiago de Chile.” He added that customers “value comfort and excellent service, and Delta Premium Select is designed to deliver just that.”

The introduction of the A350-900 marks a significant enhancement in the onboard experience for passengers flying between the U.S. and Chile, aligning with Delta’s strategy to modernize its fleet and standardize its premium offering on long-haul international routes.

At the same time, Delta is advancing the rollout of its Delta Sync Wi-Fi connectivity system across the fleet. Several South American routes, including the Santiago connection, are part of the deployment plan, with full activation expected by the end of spring 2025. SkyMiles loyalty members can access internet service instantly on multiple devices starting at boarding.

Delta operates a year-round daily flight between Atlanta and Santiago. Additionally, during the peak summer travel season in the Southern Hemisphere, the airline adds a second daily frequency—typically operated with Airbus A330-300 aircraft—to accommodate increased demand.
