Alain Bellemare, Delta’s president, showed his support for the new leader, who has been at the airline for almost two decades. «Alex’s experience will be critical as we continue to expand our international network and our product offering. His leadership will also help strengthen our partnerships with LATAM and Aeromexico,» Bellemare said.

Antilla has been with the airline for 16 years. In that time he has worked in the transpacific, transatlantic, and Latin American divisions of Delta. Prior to his appointment as vice president, he served as general manager of pricing and revenue management for Latin America. He has also worked in the network planning, and sales and alliances divisions.

«I look forward to working with our teams to strengthen our partnerships and deliver the best products and services to our customers and partners in Latin America,» Antilla said. «Our outstanding team is poised to build a great future and capitalize on the opportunities in this market,» closed the brand new executive.

Alex Antilla got his undergraduate degree at Washington University based in Saint Louis, Missouri. He later obtained an MBA from Emory’s Goizueta Business School. His extensive career at Delta has seen him spend time at the airline’s headquarters in Minneapolis, Tokyo, Atlanta, and Amsterdam. He has also collaborated with and been part of non-profit organizations in Atlanta, which he said he hopes to continue to do in the Chilean community.
