Brazilian national football team departs for Ecuador aboard Sideral charter for Ancelotti's debut
The Brazilian national football team took off this Tuesday afternoon, June 3, en route to Ecuador, where they will play their first match under the guidance of new head coach Carlo Ancelotti. The charter operation was handled by Brazilian airline Sideral Linhas Aéreas, using one of its Boeing 737 aircraft to transport the squad.
According to reports from our partner outlet Aeroin, the Boeing 737-700, registration PR-SJA, is operating flight SID-9600, which departed São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) at 4:31 p.m. local time.
At the time of writing, the aircraft was en route to Guayaquil. The team’s departure was captured by the live camera of the “Golf Oscar Romeo” YouTube channel, which broadcast the footage to its audience.
This trip marks a new era for the "Canarinha", who will face Ecuador’s national team on Thursday, June 5. The match, part of the South American qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup, will be held in Guayaquil at 8:00 p.m. Brasília time (11:00 p.m. UTC). Sideral Linhas Aéreas, with experience in transporting sports teams, designated the Boeing 737-700 to ensure the safe travel of the squad and coaching staff.
Live tracking of flight PR-SJA is available via platforms like AirNav Radar, allowing fans and media to follow the team's journey in real time.
For the return trip, the same Boeing 737-700 is scheduled to operate flight SID-9601. Departure from Guayaquil is planned for the early hours of Friday, June 6, at 2:05 a.m. local time in Ecuador, bringing the Brazilian delegation back home after their international fixture.
