    Azul Linhas Aéreas will boost connectivity at Tancredo Neves International Airport (CNF), also known as Confins Airport, which serves the city of Belo Horizonte. From 12 September, it will offer more connections for customers travelling to and from the capital of the state of Minas Gerais, one of its two main hubs.

    Currently, the airline operates an average of 88 flights per day from the terminal. The number will increase to a hundred from next week. The airline, founded in 2008, will market services to a total of 39 destinations from Belo Horizonte.

    In this way, it will strengthen its position at the air terminal. Azul operates the largest number of flights and offers the most seats at Tancredo Neves International Airport. According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the Cirium platform, it will carry out 67.5% of the of operations at the airport and will offer 59.8% of the total number of seats available during September.

    According to Fabio Campos, Azul’s Director of Institutional Relations, the investments made by the airport concessionaire have allowed the transformation of the airport into an important hub for Brazil. In this sense, he highlighted the cooperation between the company, the airport and the state authorities to enable the growth of the connection network. «We are sure that this union will develop the region, increasing connectivity inside and outside Minas Gerais», he said.

    For his part, Kleber Meira, CEO of Tancredo Neves International Airport, welcomed the news and commented: «We strengthen ourselves daily as a hub of connections, ready to expand destinations and shorten distances». «We are in the heart of Brazil and are dedicated to offering the best experience airport to our customers», he added.
