Avior resumed a national route in Venezuela

Meeting the demand and need for transfers by consumers even within the framework of a pandemic that continues to hit South America hard, Avior Airlines gave a new sign of resilience and restarted its regular flights between Caracas and Porlamar last Friday.
Initially, the airline operates a weekly flight per direction in the so-called «flexible weeks», that is, in which the government authorizes different economic and social activities (Venezuela alternates between «radical weeks» and «flexible weeks»).
Avior flight 1020 departs from Maiquetía International Airport on Fridays at 11:00 to arrive at Porlamar at 12:00. In the opposite direction, flight 1021 takes off from Isla Margarita on Sundays at 2:00 p.m., landing in Caracas at 3:00 p.m.
«We are very happy to return with this precious air route, where you can enjoy the incredible beaches and landscapes of Porlamar,» said Juan Bracamonte, CEO and Partner at Avior Airlines through a post on social networks.
This is the only national route that Avior operates at the moment due to restrictions set by the government. Before the pandemic, the airline also flew to Barcelona (Venezuela), Barinas, Maracaibo, Valencia, Puerto Ordaz and El Vigía.
Internationally, Avior also flies from Caracas to Cancun and Santo Domingo with two and four weekly flights respectively, thus serving the demand of passengers who at those airports connect with other international destinations through other airlines.
