Avianca to Operate 45,000 Flights Between June and August
Between June 15 and August 15, Avianca will operate nearly 45,000 flights and offer more than eight million seats to connect passengers with over 80 destinations across the Americas and Europe.
“Our team is ready to support travelers during the mid-year vacation season with a travel offering tailored to different preferences and the most robust network in our history,” said Carolina Cortés, Vice President of Corporate Communications and Reputation at Avianca. “This is reflected in significant seat availability growth in markets such as Brazil (27%), Colombia on international routes (17%), Europe (+11%), and the United States (+10%).”
Among the international destinations with the highest availability are Havana, London, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo, in addition to more than 15 seasonal routes to the United States, including Cali–New York, Cartagena–Miami, San Salvador–Orlando, and San José–Washington.
Avianca advises passengers to keep the following tips in mind to ensure a smooth travel experience:
• Arrive early at the airport: At least three hours before international flights and two hours for domestic travel.
• Migration documents: Check entry requirements through official sources of the destination country.
• Baggage policy: Review the conditions of your purchased fare. Devices with lithium batteries must be carried in the cabin.
• Digital check-in: Available 48 hours before the flight (24 hours for flights to or from the U.S., Puerto Rico, or Canada).
• Flight updates: Available via email, WhatsApp, the airline’s website, and mobile app.
