Avianca marks its presence with flights in Cuba, connecting it with the rest of Latin America
Avianca has announced the availability of more than 2,500 weekly seats for flights to Havana, the capital of Cuba, through a daily route operated from Bogotá.
This connection allows passengers from Colombia, as well as from countries such as Argentina, Brazil, and Peru, to access one of the Caribbean’s most iconic destinations. The service also facilitates connections from over 20 Colombian cities, strengthening Bogotá’s position as a key regional hub.

According to David Alemán, Avianca’s Sales Director, the operation responds to the demand for air connectivity between South America and the Caribbean and helps boost regional tourism.
“With the daily Bogotá-Havana route, we continue expanding travel options for our customers both in Colombia and across South America. This new route will give travelers easier access to the cultural richness, history, and warm hospitality of the island, connecting more seamlessly to one of the Caribbean’s most vibrant destinations from the Colombian capital,” said David Alemán, Sales Director at Avianca.
Highlights in Havana
Avianca pointed out that among the activities that typically attract visitors to the Cuban capital are:
• A tour of Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Classic car rides along the Malecón, especially at sunset.
• Local cuisine, featuring dishes like ropa vieja, congrí, and traditional mojitos.
• Live music venues, showcasing salsa and Cuban son performances.
• Nearby beaches, such as Santa María del Mar, known for their turquoise waters.
