Avianca Launches Bogotá–Dallas Route, Its 19th Connection Between Colombia and the U.S.
Avianca has launched a new direct route between Bogotá and Dallas, operating four weekly flights. The service is operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, each with a capacity of 180 passengers, offering over 1,400 seats per week on this route.
With this addition, Avianca now operates 19 direct routes between Colombia and the United States, further expanding its network between the two countries. In June 2025, the airline expects to operate more than 170 weekly flights to the U.S.
The new route's schedule includes flight AV0188 departing Bogotá at 7:30 a.m. and arriving in Dallas at 1:20 p.m., with the return flight, AV0189, leaving Dallas at 2:50 p.m. and arriving in Bogotá at 8:15 p.m. Flights will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, subject to government approval.

From an institutional perspective, Carmen Caballero, President of ProColombia, emphasized that this new direct connection marks progress in efforts to enhance international air connectivity. She noted that improvements in route infrastructure support the development of tourism, business, and regional investment.
Avianca now offers direct flights between Colombia and the U.S. on the following routes:
