Avelo Airlines announced a network expansion with the launch of six new services, strengthening its presence on the U.S. East Coast and in the Caribbean. The new offerings include two routes from Wilmington, North Carolina (ILM), three from Charlotte/Concord, North Carolina (USA), and one from Key West, Florida (EYW).

The low-cost carrier will be the sole operator on these six connections, a strategy that aligns with its business model of serving markets with little to no direct competition. According to the company, one-way fares for these new routes are available starting at $57. All services will be operated with its fleet of Boeing 737 Next-Generation aircraft.

Avelo Airlines Founder and CEO Andrew Levy explained that with this move, the airline continues to inspire travel by expanding its network from its new bases. Levy highlighted that they are adding "a new destination in Key West, giving ILM its first international destination to the Dominican Republic, and three new routes to our Charlotte base." He further stated that "these new routes offer our Customers even more choices, making it easier and more affordable than ever for our Customers to get to where they want to go."

      Key Information: Avelo's Expansion

What are the new routes? They connect Wilmington (ILM), Charlotte/Concord (USA), and Key West (EYW) with destinations such as Punta Cana (PUJ), San Juan (SJU), West Palm Beach (PBI), Albany (ALB), and New Haven (HVN).

When do the flights start? The services will launch on a rolling basis between October 22 and December 24, 2025.

What aircraft will be used? All routes will be operated with aircraft from the Boeing 737 Next-Generation family.

The route between Wilmington (ILM) and Punta Cana (PUJ) represents a major development for the North Carolina airport, as it will be its first scheduled international service, opening a new gateway directly to the Caribbean.

With these additions, Avelo's network now spans 50 cities across 20 U.S. states and Puerto Rico, in addition to three international destinations in Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico.
