Focus on Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) Consolidation

The airline has been gradually reducing its operations at Love Field, aligning with its strategy to strengthen its presence at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). This move follows Alaska’s entry into the oneworld alliance and its expanded partnership with American Airlines.

Currently, Alaska Airlines operates six daily flights from Seattle (SEA) and two daily flights from Portland (PDX) to DFW.

    Passenger Relocation & Flight Reductions

Passengers affected by this change will be rebooked on flights to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW).

At its peak in 2019, Alaska Airlines operated 13–14 daily flights from Love Field, serving Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. However, in recent years, the airline has steadily reduced its presence at DAL, while strengthening its codeshare partnership with American Airlines.

    • Southwest Airlines, which currently controls 97% of departures from the airport
