    Airbus Helicopters Grows Sales by 10% in 2024 with 455 Orders

    Airbus Helicopters recorded 455 gross orders in 2024, reflecting steady market growth with a strong performance in light, twin-engine, and heavy helicopter segments. These orders came from 182 customers across 42 countries. The company delivered 361 helicopters, securing a preliminary 57% share of the civil and parapublic market, according to the European manufacturer's statement.

    Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters, highlighted the steady growth: "Our order intake in 2024, with an increase of nearly 10 percent in units for the second consecutive year, underscores stable growth in a complex global environment. I would like to thank our customers for their continued trust."

    The Super Puma program performed well with 58 orders across civil and military markets. Notable customers include the German Bundespolizei, Japanese Coast Guard, the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands, and Romania's National Defense Ministry.

    Significant advancements included the launch of the Block 1 update for the NH90 and the start of flight tests for the Standard 2 configuration of the French Special Forces. The first Standard 3 configuration was delivered to the Spanish Air Force.

    The H145 and H145M programs attracted new defense and security customers, such as the Royal Brunei Air Force, Belgian Ministry of Defense, Indonesian Air Force, Bahrain Police Aviation Command, and Irish Ministry of Defense.

    Sustainability efforts also expanded, with Airbus Helicopters increasing its use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to nearly 20% for development and training flights in Marignane, Albacete, and Donauwörth. SAF use was further introduced at the company's Oxford, United Kingdom, facility.

    Airbus's financial results for 2024 will be published on February 20, 2025.
