Air Transat extends seasonal flights to Valencia and Bordeaux through October 2026
Canadian airline Air Transat will operate year-round direct flights from Montreal-Trudeau (YUL) to Bordeaux (France) and Valencia (Spain) starting in the winter of 2025–2026, consolidating these routes which were previously only available during the summer season.
Service to Valencia will debut on June 20, while flights to both cities will continue with a weekly Saturday frequency starting in February 2026, operated with Airbus A321LR aircraft.
Air Transat offers the only flight connecting North America with both Valencia and Bordeaux.
This extension is part of a summer schedule that will run until October 2026. Tickets are already available for booking.
"By expanding our presence in France and Spain during the winter, we take another step toward offering our transatlantic program year-round," said Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at the airline. "Extending Valencia into the winter reflects its potential as a destination, while Bordeaux strengthens our presence in the French provinces, a key market for Air Transat."
According to the airline, France remains a cornerstone of its European network. Bordeaux now joins its existing winter connections to Lyon, Marseille, and Nantes, responding to demand from both leisure travelers and those visiting friends and relatives.
In Spain, the Valencia route will join the winter portfolio alongside Madrid and Málaga, further solidifying the airline’s year-round offering in the market.
According to data obtained by Aviacionline via Cirium, in July, Air Transat will account for 17.6% of the seat capacity between Canada and Europe, ranking second after Air Canada (39.9%), and ahead of Air France (7.5%) and WestJet (7.1%). The remainder is shared among British Airways, KLM, Condor, Lufthansa, Icelandair, and TAP Air Portugal.

The airline will operate an average of 182 weekly one-way flights, totaling around 200,000 monthly seats, flying from Canada to destinations including Málaga, Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Berlin, Bordeaux, Brussels, Basel, Paris-CDG, Dublin, Faro, Rome, Glasgow, London-Gatwick, Lisbon, Lyon, Madrid, Manchester, Marseille, Nice, Nantes, Porto, Lamezia Terme, Toulouse, Venice, Valencia, and Zagreb.
