Air Arabia Abu Dhabi to Operate Seasonal Flights to Yekaterinburg During the Winter Season
The low-cost carrier expands its network in Russia with a new seasonal winter service from Zayed International Airport.
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, the low-cost carrier based in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, announced the launch of seasonal operations to Yekaterinburg (SVX), Russia. This new route becomes the airline's second destination in the country, complementing its existing flights to Moscow (DME).
The service will operate twice weekly between Zayed International Airport (AUH) in Abu Dhabi and Koltsovo International Airport (SVX). Flights are scheduled to begin on October 27, 2025, and will run through March 27, 2026, covering the entire IATA winter season.
According to information released by the UAE's official news agency WAM, the route will be operated by the airline's fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi currently maintains a fleet of 12 jets of this model, configured in a single-class, high-density layout.

The introduction of this route underscores the robust air connections that persist between the United Arab Emirates and Russia. In a context where many Western airlines have suspended their services to the country, Gulf operators like Air Arabia Abu Dhabi have capitalized on the demand for connectivity.
This new service positions the airline to compete with other regional carriers, such as flydubai, which also offers flights to Yekaterinburg from its hub at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is a joint venture established by Etihad Airways, the UAE's national airline based in Abu Dhabi, and Air Arabia, the leading low-cost group in the Middle East. Its business model focuses on expanding the destination network from the UAE capital, providing affordable travel options for the leisure and VFR (visiting friends and relatives) markets. The launch of flights to Yekaterinburg aligns with this strategy of selective growth in high-potential markets.
