Aerolíneas Argentinas Launches Seasonal Flights Between São Paulo and Bariloche, Targeting Brazilian Winter Tourism
The First Aerolíneas Argentinas Flight from São Paulo This Season Lands in Bariloche, Marking the Start of Daily Service Through August
At 2:22 p.m. on Monday, June 30, the first seasonal flight by Aerolíneas Argentinas from São Paulo/Guarulhos landed at Bariloche Airport, marking the start of the airline’s winter operations on one of the Southern Cone’s most competitive tourist corridors.
The inaugural flight was operated with a Boeing 737 MAX 8 (LV-GVD), departing São Paulo at 10:01 a.m. The return leg departed Bariloche at 2:41 p.m., operated by a different 737 MAX 8 (LV-KEI), with an estimated arrival in Guarulhos at 6:40 p.m.
Aerolíneas Argentinas will operate daily flights between Bariloche and São Paulo through the end of August, aiming to attract Brazilian travelers seeking Argentina’s winter snow destinations.
The airline joins a competitive market that includes:
- LATAM, offering daily service with Airbus A321 aircraft
- GOL, flying three times per week with Boeing 737 MAX 8
- Azul, operating five weekly flights with Airbus A320, plus service from Belo Horizonte (twice weekly) and Porto Alegre (once weekly)
Bariloche’s international offering also includes:
- SKY, with four weekly flights from Santiago on Airbus A320neo
- Aerolíneas Argentinas, offering one weekly flight from Montevideo
This seasonal push highlights the strategic importance of Bariloche as a winter gateway, especially for the growing segment of Brazilian snow tourism.
