The Valle del Conlara Airport was inaugurated in December 2001 with the purpose of serving as a development point for tourism in the northeast of the province of San Luis, a region famous for having one of the world’s microclimates.

With an investment of USD 15 million, it was built and is managed by the government of the province of San Luis, and has a very important infrastructure that has never been fully exploited by airlines.

The terminal has more than 3,000 square meters, with a modern design, eight check-in counters and even a telescopic walkway, a luxury at that time for airports in the interior of Argentina.

Throughout its history, the Valle del Conlara airport has received flights from Southern Winds, Baires Fly, Macair, Sol and LADE, although they were not able to consolidate over time.
