Aerolíneas Argentinas Deploys Special Operations for Huracán vs. Platense Final
Aerolíneas Argentinas is undertaking a major logistical operation to transport over 5,000 fans traveling to Santiago del Estero for the final match between Huracán and Platense. To meet this demand, the airline has scheduled a total of fifteen special charter flights.
These dedicated flights are in addition to the airline’s regular services to the provincial capital, as well as extra flights to Termas de Río Hondo and San Miguel de Tucumán. Altogether, the operation will comprise more than 30 flights to meet the transportation needs of supporters.
Ticket sales for the charter flights were handled by the clubs themselves and various travel agencies. For these operations, Aerolíneas Argentinas is deploying its Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, each configured to carry 170 passengers per flight.
In addition to moving fans, the airline is also responsible for transporting the professional squad of Club Atlético Platense, who will travel to Santiago del Estero on Friday afternoon.
This type of charter operation for sports organizations is part of Aerolíneas Argentinas’ routine services. In the coming weeks, the airline will also coordinate international transport for River Plate and Boca Juniors, both set to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup. This global tournament will take place in June across multiple venues in the United States. Planning is already underway for these transatlantic flights, which will utilize wide-body aircraft to ensure efficient travel for the teams.
