    As of December 4, Air Canada will resume its non-stop flights between Toronto (YYZ) and Cartagena (CTG) with a weekly frequency and an offer of 274 seats per week. This will be the second destination of the company in Colombia. The airline’s last operation on this route was on March 21, 2020.

    According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the Civil Aeronautics of Colombia, 5,592 passengers were mobilized in 2019 between Rafael Nuñez International Airport (CTG) and Lester Pearson Airport (YYZ). Prior to the pandemic, Air Canada Rouge operated this route on Airbus A321 aircraft.

    Flight Itinerary

    • Toronto – Cartagena Flight AC 1318 YYZ 14:35 – CTG 19:55 Sunday.
    • Cartagena – Toronto Flight AC 1319 CTG 08:30 – YYZ 13:50 Monday.

    The flights will be operated in Airbus A220-300 with a capacity of 137 seats in two classes (12 Business Class/125 Economy), this will be the first service of this type of aircraft in South America. Promotional fares start at USD 298 in economy class and USD 781 in business class.

    According to data obtained by Aviacionline through Cirium, Air Canada will offer 2,216 seats between Canada and Colombia, representing a 93.3% recovery from pre-pandemic levels.

    The Canadian flag carrier has almost fully restored its entire network of destinations in South America, the airline has yet to resume service to Quito, Ecuador (UIO) to fully restore all its destinations operated prior to the COVID-19 crisis.

    • Sao Paulo (GRU) five weekly flights on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
    • Bogota (BOG) three flights per week on Airbus A330-300.
    • Lima (LIM) two flights per week on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
    Toronto (YYZ)
    • Sao Paulo (GRU) daily flights in Boeing 777-300ER.
    • Buenos Aires (EZE) daily flights via GRU.
    • Santiago (SCL) daily flights on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
    • Bogotá (BOG) four flights per week in Airbus A330-300.
    • Cartagena (CTG) one flight per week in Airbus A220-300.
    • Lima (LIM) three flights per week on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
