    Swoop is expanding its northern winter schedule with new routes, more frequencies to sunny destinations and new nonstop service to Cuba. The airline plans to serve major leisure markets in the U.S., Mexico and Jamaica for Canadians at affordable prices.

    New route to Cuba

    Starting January 11, 2023, Swoop will offer a non-stop service between Toronto – Pearson (YYZ) and Varadero (VRA) with three weekly flights. This route will be operated seasonally during the northern winter season:

    • Flight WO 652 YYZ 09:00 – VRA 12:40 Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
    • Flight WO 653 VRA 13:40 – YYZ 17:10 Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

    The route will be operated on Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft seating 189 passengers in single configuration and promotional fares are available from CAD 189 roundtrip.

    Resumption of sun and beach routes to the U.S. and Mexico

    As part of the planning for the northern winter season, Swoop will resume two holiday destinations from London, Ontario (YXU) to Cancun (CUN) and Orlando – Sanford (SFB) starting December 3 and 4 respectively.

    It will also restart service to Fort Lauderdale (FLL) from Toronto – Pearson (YYZ) and Hamiton (YHM) from December 8 and 9 respectively.

    «London International Airport and Swoop experienced strong growth during 2019 and the first quarter of 2020 prior to the pandemic restrictions,» said Scott McFadzean, president and CEO of London International Airport (YXU).

    With Swoop Getaways, travelers can combine Swoop flights at ultra-low fares with thousands of hotel and resort properties to get discounts for their stay. Users looking for vacation packages can add Swoop flights to WestJet when booking through an online travel agency.

    Swoop has also increased frequencies from Toronto – Pearson (YYZ) to Cancun (CUN), Las Vegas (LAS), Montego Bay (MBJ) and Punta Cana (PUJ), the company affordable fares at CAD 89 on select vacation destinations:Swoop Winter 2022
