JetSMART and Amadeus announce distribution agreement through Amadeus Travel Platform

As part of the airline’s growth strategy in Latin America, JetSMART and Amadeus announced an agreement to distribute the airline’s content through the Amadeus Travel Platform, thereby increasing the airline’s sales channels and distribution reach. With this agreement, the company will gain greater flexibility and purchasing options for travelers who purchase tickets through travel agencies.

JetSMART will maintain its business model, operating under a cost-efficient scheme in all of its channels, therefore delivering a simple fare structure and allowing customers to choose their trip according to their preferences.

“JetSMART’s strategic decision to sign this agreement with Amadeus is primarily aimed at adding additional, high-performance solutions to our sales channels while maintaining our Ultra-Low-Cost model. We hope to approach travel agencies in an effective and efficient way, strengthening all our customer segments and markets, as well as connecting more passengers globally,” said JetSMART CEO Estuardo Ortiz.

“This new agreement will allow us to increase tools and channels for our customers to purchase their tickets more easily and have the possibility of flying with us,” said JetSMART’s Commercial Manager, Victor Mejia.

JetSMART expects to launch the content distribution to the Chilean market, through the Amadeus Travel Platform, in the second quarter of 2022. Afterward to be followed by the rest of the countries where the airline operates (Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Colombia and Uruguay).

The airline has a wide network of domestic destinations in Chile with 38 domestic routes (Santiago, Arica, Iquique, Antofagasta, Calama, Copiapó, La Serena, Concepción, Temuco, Valdivia, Puerto Montt, Chiloé, Balmaceda, Punta Arenas and Puerto Natales).

We are pleased to add JetSMART’s offering to our platform, thus complementing the airline’s distribution channels,” said Javier Laforgue, Executive Vice President of Air Distribution, Amadeus.
