Flybondi confirms the arrival of a fifth Boeing 737-800

Flybondi announced today Dec 1 that by the second half of January it will receive a fifth Boeing 737-800, which will constitute a significant event for the ultra-low-cost carrier since it will regain the operational capacity it had prior to the pandemic.

But, at the same time, Flybondi highlighted that it already estimates to receive the sixth aircraft between February and March 2022, thereby reaffirming its investment and growth plan in Argentina.

“We continue with our investment plan and fleet growth with the arrival of the fifth aircraft. In July we incorporated our third aircraft and in September the fourth, which reflects a sustainable commitment of the company to our purpose and to the airline industry. With the addition of more aircraft, we are seeking to grow and add new destinations. In January we will start flying to Ushuaia and in December we will launch regional flights to Uruguay and Brazil. This is possible due to the demand we are seeing in the market, which marks an important recovery in tourism, with very good numbers for the summer season and for the coming months”, commented Mauricio Sana, Flybondi’s CEO.

The ultra low-cost airline’s current network covers Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Corrientes, Córdoba, Jujuy, Mendoza, Neuquén, Posadas, Iguazú, Salta, Santiago del Estero, Trelew and Tucumán, while it is preparing to return to the foreign market in December, flying to Florianópolis, São Paulo, Río de Janeiro and Punta del Este. Its participation in domestic traffic is 15%, and it has the highest occupancy factor of 95%.
