The purchasing process began in the first half of 2020, and the specific aircraft was chosen near the end of the year.

The aircraft had been at the Mexico City airport since last February in the preparation and maintenance process prior to joining the Air Force.

This is the first Boeing 737-700 belonging to the Argentinian Air Force, and the second Boeing 737. Currently the Tango 04, which is a B737-500, is in El Palomar.

At the moment it is unknown when the operations of the new Boeing 737 with the Argentinian Air Force will begin, although it would be mainly for the military transfer as well as to carry out some particular operations with LADE.

Last week, a special flight of the Air Force Fokker 28, registration TC-52, took off from Palomar, bound for Mexico City. The reason for this operation was to transfer crews for the Boeing 737 that was still in the Mexican capital.
