Wingo restarts its flights between Bogotá and Willemstad

As we announced last week, Wingo confirmed on Monday that it will resume flights between Bogota and Willemstad as of October 6, once again becoming the only Colombian low-cost airline to connect both markets non-stop.
The company, a member of Copa Holdings, will operate two flights a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, on Boeing 737-800 aircraft with capacity for 186 passengers. Prior to the pandemic, according to Wingo, the route had an average load factor above 85%.
«With the return of our direct flights between Bogota and Curaçao, we continue to consolidate our position as the number one low-cost airline for Colombians to make their trips abroad a reality, without having to pay more,» said Juan Sebastian Molano, Wingo’s Communications Manager.
«We will restart this route starting next October 6, always maintaining our offer of really low prices, punctuality, biosecurity and good vibes; all as part of our commitment to the democratization of quality international air transportation throughout the region», he added.
André Rojer, regional manager for South America at the Curaçao Tourist Board, said, «We are happy to know that Wingo is back on the island to serve and connect our visitors from Colombia. We have always been allies, more than the business, of the adventures that the airline and we as the Tourist Board, can offer to those who visit us, so that their experiences are wonderful, reinforcing the slogan of our island, Feel It For Yourself».
With this schedule, Wingo plans to offer 372 seats per week between Bogota and Willemstad and vice versa. Avianca is currently the only airline to have a connection between the two cities, twice a week on Airbus A320-200s.
