Visit Santa Claus’s Hometown and Northern Lights with Iberia’s Winter Routes

Iberia has landed in four popular winter destinations: Salzburg and Innsbruck in Austria, Tromso in Norway, and Rovaniemi in Finland. These four cities offer travelers the option to visit Christmas markets, enjoy winter sports, watch the Northern Lights, or visit Santa Claus’s hometown. The airline has scheduled the sale of 50,000 seats until next March.
“We are very excited to launch these destinations, which we believe will be very well received by our customers, especially for snow sports enthusiasts and Christmas market lovers. We are starting operations this year with two weekly flights, and hopefully, we can repeat or even increase frequencies or duration next year, as has happened with Rovaniemi, which we inaugurated last year; this winter season, we are offering more flights and for a longer period to Lapland, representing a 74% increase compared to last year,” says Carmen Giraud, Sales Manager for Europe, OM, and Asia.
Innsbruck, Austria
Surrounded by the Tyrolean Alps, Innsbruck is a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts and is also known for its cultural heritage. The service is available from December 1, 2024, to March 26, 2025, with two weekly flights, offering 12,648 seats between both cities.

This destination is known for its Christmas markets and musical heritage. The route will operate from November 30, 2024, to March 29, 2025, with weekly flights, offering 13,320 seats during this period.
