The Venezuelan state-owned company inaugurated flights between both cities last May, and Conviasa has been carrying out the same schedule of operations to the Russian city since.

Conviasa had planned to start operations to Moscow prior to the pandemic, but the COVID-19 restrictions postponed that start. Other destinations that the company planned to restart operations from Caracas were Buenos Aires and Teheran, but for now it is not known when they will be able to do so.

According to its reservation system, the Venezuelan company plans to increase its flight frequency on the Caracas – Moscow route starting October 1st. Conviasa plans to have a weekly operation between both cities on Airbus A340-200 and Airbus A340-300.

Conviasa will continue to be the only airline operating passenger flights between the cities of Venezuela and Russia.
