    On March 4 United Airlines after three years reconnects the state of Colorado to Asia with the reactivation of non-stop service between Denver (DEN) and Tokyo – Narita (NRT). The carrier suspended this route in March 2020 in the wake of the COVID-19 health crisis.

    Flight UA 143 was operated on a Boeing 787-8 with N30913 registration, which took off from Denver International Airport (DEN) at 12:10 local time and landed at Narita Airport (NRT) at 15:45, after 11 hours and 23 minutes.

    Currently, United operates at both major airports in the Tokyo metropolitan area, offering non-stop service to Haneda (HND) from Newark (EWR), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), Chicago O’Hare (ORD); and Narita (NRT) from Denver (DEN), Houston (IAH), Guam (GUM), Saipan (SPN), Newark (EWR) and San Francisco (SFO). In addition, it is scheduled to reactivate its operations between Washington – Dulles (IAD) and the Japanese capital starting March 26.

    Denver-Tokyo flight schedule

    • Denver – Tokyo/Narita Flight UA 143 DEN 11:25 – NRT 15:45+1 Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
    • Tokyo/Narita – Denver Flight UA 142 NRT 17:35 – DEN 12:00 Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
    Route details
    • Initially this service will be operated by Boeing 787-8 with a capacity of 243 passengers and will offer 1,458 seats per week.
    • Beginning March 26, the route will increase to daily flights operated on Boeing 787-9s with a capacity of 257 passengers and will provide 3,598 seats per week, restoring its pre-pandemic capacity.

    United’s international schedule at Denver for the 2023 summer season will provide medium/short-haul service to Belize (BZE), Cancun (CUN), Liberia/Guanacaste (LIR), Nassau (NAS), Puerto Vallarta (PVR), Roatan (RTB), San Jose del Cabo (SJD), San Jose (SJO), Vancouver (YVR), Calgary (YYC) and Toronto – Pearson (YYZ); and the intercontinental offering will offer non-stop flights to London – Heathrow (LHR), Frankfurt (FRA), Munich (MUC) and Tokyo – Narita (NRT).
