    Korean Air modifies its UK operation by replacing the Boeing 777-300ER with the Boeing 747-8i for the remainder of the summer season on the Seoul Incheon – London Heathrow route increasing seat capacity by more than 30%. Korean Air’s last passenger service with the 747-8i was October 31, 2019.

    On June 26, Flight KE 907 was performed by a Boeing 747-8i registered as HL7637, which took off from Incheon International Airport at 12:04 local time and landed at Heathrow Airport at 17:23, after thirteen hours and 19 minutes.

    According to data compiled by AirPortal, 352,696 passengers and 34,856 tons of cargo were handled in 1,693 operations between Seoul-Incheon and London-Heathrow in 2023. The segment is also served by Asiana Airlines, previously also served by British Airways but suspended services in March 2020 as a result of the pandemic.

    Korean Air also flies Boeing 747-8i to New York JFK, Honolulu and Atlanta. The airline is in the process of retiring its four-engine aircraft for more efficient engines such as the Airbus A350. Recently, the airline sold five 747-8i’s to Sierra Nevada Corporation, leaving only four of this model in the fleet.

    • Seoul – London Flight KE 907 ICN 10:50 – LHR 17:20 daily flights.
    • London – Seoul Flight KE 908 LHR 19:35 – ICN 16:15+1 Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
    • London – Seoul Flight KE 908 LHR 19:55 – ICN 16:15+1 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

    Korean Air’s Boeing 747-8i seats 368 in three classes: 8 First Class (Kosmo Suites 2.0), 48 Business Class (Prestige Suites) and 314 in Economy.
