The carrier also announced that it will increase the frequency between Tokyo-Haneda International Airport (HND) and Hawaii’s capital from May 28th. Until June 30th, ANA will offer four weekly frequencies in both directions on Sundays, Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays. In July, another weekly frequency will be added.

From July 1st through October 29th, ANA will provide twice-weekly services between Tokyo-Narita and Honolulu (Fridays and Saturdays) operated by A380s configured for carrying 520 passengers. In addition, there will be five weekly flights in both directions between Tokyo-Haneda and Honolulu (Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays). Operations to and from the Japanese capital’s second-largest airport will be operated with Boeing 787-9 aircraft configured for carrying 246 passengers.

According to the company, the choice of A380s to cover this Pacific route is due to growing demand in that market. The daily operation during the summer represents an improved offering at one of the busiest times of the year.

ANA has three aircraft sporting this special livery in its fleet. The first of these began operating for the company in May 2019 and is painted with a blue-toned motif, representing the Hawaiian sky. The second, in emerald green hues, is inspired by the crystal-clear water surrounding the archipelago. Finally, the third aircraft wears a motif of orange tones that refers to the Hawaiian sunsets.
